Terrorists attack Hotel in Nigeria kills 14

(Bauchi) Terrorists, disguised as soldiers, walked into a hotel where people had flocked to watch the World Cup currently in play in Brazil Friday evening and proceeded to set off explosives, and during the confusion afterwards opened fire with hand weapons, killing 14 people and wounding 10.

Police confirmed Saturday that the attack took place at the Peoples Hotel, Bayan Gari area of Bauchi metropolis.

Meanwhile in the northern city of Kano, police averted a vehicle borne IED attack on a mosque (which would have been packed for Ramadan) when worshippers tipped them off.
